SOR GPRA Soft Launch Extended

During the recent in-person intake GPRA trainings we received feedback that extending the soft launch would be helpful. For this reason, we have adjusted the date for GPRA full launch from Monday, 6/10, to Monday, 6/17. The GPRA soft launch that began on 6/3 has been extended a week to allow additional time for CSBs to prepare for full launch.

The extended soft launch provides additional time to begin administering real GPRA interviews with as many eligible clients as you feel comfortable and to iron out logistics and processes in preparation for GPRA full launch on 6/17. You do not need to administer the GPRA to all eligible clients between now and full launch, however, please note that any GPRA data that is submitted during soft launch will be counted as real data and be reflected in your numbers. When we reach full launch on 6/17, all eligible clients should be administered the intake GPRA and all data is to be submitted.

  • Encourage staff to join the Intake GPRA webinar training on June 6th, or access the webinar’s recording afterward.

The webinar training is for anyone who was unable to attend an in-person training. It will cover what the GPRA is and its content areas, as well as SAMHSA’s data collection requirements. Virginia’s State Opioid Response (SOR) grant is awarded at the discretion of DBHDS and SAMHSA. All recipients of SOR funding supports evidence-based prevention, treatment and recovery services to address opioid and stimulant misuse and use disorders, including for cocaine and methamphetamine. The SOR grant is not intended to be utilized as a long-term or permanent funding source. All SOR proposals must include a realistic plan for financial sustainability beyond the grant period.
